Botox can be used along with other dermal treatments also. It is not advisable to take Botox injections in case of any infection, especially in the injection site. People who tend to have allergic reaction also cannot undergo Botox treatment. In order to understand whether you are allergic or not, you have to perform a separate test. Some of the antibiotics that will react with the injection are Tobramycin, Lincomycin, Clindamycina and Gentamycin. Since the effect of the Botox injections last only for about 6 months, the side effects associated with Botox injections will reduce automatically after six months.

The individual who would like to take Botox treatment should not use alcohol one week before the treatment. The patient must not take anti-inflammatory medicine or aspirin at least two weeks prior to the Botox treatment. You should not lie down for about 4 hours after the completion of the treatment. Never massage the treated area or muscles as it may spread the Botox to the muscles surrounding the eyes. After the procedure, you should exercise the treated muscles every fifteen minutes for about one hour after completing the treatment so that the Botox will get attached to the active muscles.
